White Sands Beach

11 Seaside Avenue and at the terminus of White Sands Beach Rd.

White Sands Beach is a lovely beach with great views of Long Island Sound and a picnic area within a gazebo.  Although there is no non-resident parking during the beach season between Memorial Day and Labor Day, non-residents are free to use the parking lot during the beach off season.  White Sands beach offers a beautiful beach walk as well as access to The Nature Conservancy’s Griswold Point Preserve.  If non-residents are willing to find parking and walk about a 1/2 mile from Shore Rd/CT-156, they may use White Sands Beach year round.
