Waukegan Skate Park

1815 North Sheridan Road

The Waukegan Skate Park design features three separate areas for beginners, intermediate skaters and advanced skaters and totals 17,000 square feet of skateable concrete. Concrete construction was chosen over modular construction, due to its longevity and ease of maintenance. The former pool bathhouse now serves as a point of entry, pavilion, vending area and restroom facility. Close attention to detail is evident in the stamped concrete edging, wrought-iron fencing, signage and overall look of the project. The Waukegan Skate Park offers skaters a wide variety of trick surfaces including a half-pipe, elevated launch deck, vertical and grinding walls, ledge fun box and grinding rails.
