Mission

The Arboretum, in partnership with Landscape and Natural Resources, enriches the UCF community by creating and maintaining an inviting and sustainable outdoor environment, and by generating research, education and outreach initiatives that increase public understanding of ecology, and guide conservation and stewardship of natural resources. The Arboretum supports the mission of UCF through a comprehensive outdoor laboratory that creates opportunities for relevant, experience-based learning, urban ecology research, and human connection with ecosystems and landscapes. This program supports regional, state, national and global efforts to develop sustainable urban environments.
