About Us:

The Trumbull Nature and Arts Center (TNAC) is a non-profit, community-driven organization that serves as a point of destination for Trumbull, and the region of Fairfield County, CT. The mission of the center is to promote sound environmental stewardship and enhance community life through participation in collaborative nature, environment, and art experiences. Located in Trumbull, CT, the center strives to engage and educate the community on current environmental issues. Much of the TNAC development is afforded through public/private partnerships.

Center volunteers, partnering with Trumbull Park Rangers, have provided instruction to field trips from local schools, Scout groups and badges, the mentoring of Eagle Scout projects and family events like Maple Sugaring and the Great Firefly Round-up. Paid instructors and organizations provide art classes and up close wildlife experiences. Our butterfly garden, bee hives, bat roosting box and turtle rafts make the property we are located on a protected environment for nature and a resource for the community to explore through our classes, events and community outreach programs. Many companies, organizations and people have contributed money, equipment and time to TNAC. We are very proud of the community we live in, your generosity and civic mindedness are commendable. We look forward to being a part of this dynamic community for many years to come.

The Trumbull Nature & Arts Center is now a 501(c) (3) organization operating under the corporate name of Patrons of the Trumbull Nature & Arts Center. The final determination letter was received in late April 2011 and was retroactive to January 6, 2011. This designation provides us with the ability to fundraise and apply for grants specifically for our organization’s use. This was a critical step in the furtherance of our mission and vision of TNAC in the future. In June 2011 our new website was launched www.patronsoftnac.com and in July 2011 online registration and e-commerce capabilities were added to allow participants in our programs to pay by credit card.
