The Long Path Trail at Palisades Interstate Park

Hudson Terrace
201-768-1360

About Us:

The Long Path goes along the top of the cliffs. Its southern trailhead is outside the Visitor Center at Fort Lee Historic Park. From there it goes down the entrance drive, north on Hudson Terrace and up steel stairs just north of the George Washington Bridge and into the woods. It passes outside Allison Park, crosses Dyckman Hill Road, passes through Rockefeller Lookout, alongside Greenbrook Sanctuary, through Alpine Lookout, by Park Headquarters, the Women's Federation Monument, State Line Lookout, and on to the actual state line at U.S. Route 9W and the entrance to Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory. (The Long Path then continues north in New York State.) In New Jersey, the Long Path covers easy to moderate terrain throughout.
