The John Becker Lincoln Park/Montville Farm to Table Market

632 Main Road
973-331-3341

On a Sunday morning in June of 2015, you found a new farmers’ market at the nearby Towaco Train Station on Route 202. “The John Becker Lincoln Park/Montville Farm to Table Market.” Residents in both communities had expressed an interest in having a local farmers’ market, so the two towns decided to do it together.  The market was generously sponsored by two local banks, Lincoln Park Savings Bank and Valley National Bank.

The late John Becker, a Montville resident who was always active in his community and wanted to see a farmers’ market come to fruition, is honored in the name of the market.  Farmers’ markets have become increasingly popular in New Jersey over the past few decades, providing an alternate venue to buy fresh produce and foods direct from farmers and local vendors.  There is a taste difference in corn and other vegetables and fruit that are picked fresh and brought straight to market to be sold.  In addition to vendors traditionally found at a farmers’ market, this venue will also give local businesses in both towns an opportunity to showcase their products and services.
