About Us:

Smith's Nursery is a family owned and operated nursery and produce farm in Johnston County, North Carolina.  Owner Myron Smith has nearly 40 years of nursery experience and over 20 years of strawberry experience.  We are committed to producing high quality fruit, vegetable and horticultural crops while maintaining the sustainability of farming in North Carolina.

Year-round we operate a nursery where we grow a wide variety of landscape shrubs.  We specialize in container-grown plant material such as Wax Myrtles, Hollies, ornamental grasses, and much more!  If you are a wholesale purchaser click the "Wholesale Plants" tab at the top of the page for more information.  We are open to the public, just click the "Retail Plants" tab for retail availability and information.

During the Spring and early Summer, we have an exciting U-Pick Strawberry and Blueberry season.  In conjunction with the Strawberries, we operate a full garden center, complete with most all of your landscape needs; shrubs, trees, vines, perennials, annuals, hanging baskets and more.

Our greenhouse tomato season gets into gear in late Winter/early Spring and continues into the Summer months.  We currently operate two greenhouses - nearly 1000 plants - with slicing and cherry tomatoes.  Our tomatoes are available at our farm stand and various farm markets we attend.

In the fall we offer pumpkin picking and hayrides!  Our farm stand and garden center is open during the Fall with mums, landscape plants, and fresh produce to go along with the pumpkins and hayrides.

The berry and pumpkin seasons provide a great opportunity for an educational field trip for preschool and elementary school students, special needs individuals, and church groups.
