Skiing and Snowboarding

You've struck the mother lode!

We offer you two mountains, 73 trails, 1,600 acres of terrain, 2,200 vertical and more than 300 inches of snow annually. Our diverse terrain spreads snow riders across the two mountains so you spend more time riding and less time in lift lines.

Extensive gladed areas and hidden gems make it possible to find fresh powder stashes days after the last storm! Indeed, this is Idaho skiing at its finest.

Silver Mountain Resort is located in the panhandle of north Idaho, an easy one-hour drive on I-90 east from Spokane, Washington.

Galena Ridge Golf Course

Tucked away in the mountains of the Silver Valley you will find Galena Ridge.  Our stunning 9 hole course will impress golfers of any skill level with dramatic vistas and exceptional design.  Start your mountain golf adventure by calling  208.783.1522 to set up a tee time and get ready to enjoy a golfing experience in the scenic beauty of North Idaho.

Idaho Fishing

Welcome to angler's paradise. North Idaho has the greatest concentration of lakes in the western states and nearly 2,000 miles of rivers and streams. Rainbow, cutthroat, brown, and brook trout reside in many of the rivers as well some of the area's less accessible mountain lakes and streams in Idaho. Diverse habitat supports a large variety of lake fish such as yellow perch, crappie, pumpkinseed, bullheads, largemouth bass, northern pike and mountain whitefish.

Silver Mountain guests have easy access to two outstanding rivers for fishing -- Coeur d'Alene and St. Joe - along with several Idaho mountain lakes and the 25 mile long Lake Coeur d'Alene.

The Coeur d'Alene River is home to a thriving population of both cutthroat and rainbow trout and is sure to keep an angler's rod bent all day. The St. Joe River is a designated "wild and scenic" Idaho river and is best described as a "blue ribbon" cutthroat trout fishery.

Idaho ATV Adventures

Are you ready for some serious four wheeling ATV fun? Hundreds of miles of Idaho ATV trails and old Idaho logging roads create one of the best places in the country to explore forests, rivers, hidden lakes, ghost towns and many other natural wonders by ATV and Quads.

If you already own an ATV, we invite you to come explore the trails and stay in comfort at the Morning Star Lodge. While we don't permit ATVs on the mountain, there are an abundance of public trails within a short distance of the resort.

Idaho River Rafting & Water Sports

This summer Silver Mountain Resort is teaming up with Idaho adventure companies to offer whitewater river rafting trips of a lifetime for guests staying with Silver Mountain Lodging.

Whether you are vacationing in Idaho with family, friends or co-workers, get ready for a splashtastic time on the rivers of northern Idaho and western Montana. Nature invites you to take a trip down the wild side of the Clark Fork river. If you wish to travel at a more leisurely pace, consider a rafting excursion on the Spokane River. Tailor a summer Idaho rafting adventure around your group's interests while staying with Silver Mountain Lodging in Silver Mountain Resort's Gondola Village. Luxury will be waiting to greet you at the end of the day.
