Sheep Hill

671 Cold Spring Road
413-458-2494

One of Williamstown’s most spectacular properties with an expansive view to Mt. Greylock and other landmarks, the 50-acre former dairy farm connects Bee Hill Road and Route 7, and is an open space link between Stone and Bee Hills. The property is unique as a cultural grassland; a meadow ecology that is maintained by mechanical means, but has much more diversity that an agricultural meadow. The entrance to Sheep Hill is on Cold Spring Road, about 1.2 miles south of Williamstown Center. The property is open for passive recreation and programs on natural history and rural heritage and is a cultural and recreational destination. An Interpretive Center in the largest barn is planned for 2012.
