Niebauer Springs Fishery Area

The Niebauer Springs Fishery Area was initially purchased to develop and maintain a brook trout fishery. In addition to this use, timber and wildlife species are considered viable objectives to better utilize the recreational potential of this area. As part of its management, camping, outboard motor, snowmobile and off-road vehicle use will be prohibited.

Niebauer Springs Fishery Area covers 206 acres and includes a 13.1-acre impounded spring pond, two spring feeder streams, the outlet stream, and 2,640 feet of frontage on the South Fork of the Flambeau River. The Flambeau River flows into the Chippewa River and ultimately into the Mississippi River.
