Mountain Lakes Park

East Side of Hawley Road

Mountain Lakes Park a total of 1,038 acres is owned by Westchester County. Part of the park was purchased between 1708 and 1729 from Chief Catoonah of the Long Pond Indians. Sixty eight acres of the park are in Lewisboro.The lakes are open for fishing, canoeing and ice skating. An extensive network of well marked trails covers the rugged topography and elevations for challenging hiking and cross country skiing. Hardwood and pine forest mingle among the several lakes. The highest point in Lewisboro, at 850 feet, offers a view of the three lakes. The highest elevation in Westchester County, Bailey Mountain, at 982 feet is also inside the park. Trail length is 10 miles.

Level: Moderate. The paved road is suitable for stroller and motorized vehicles for the handicapped.
