Marshall County Farmers Market

Eastern 12th Street
304-843-1170

The Market began operation at the Marshall County Fairgrounds in 1992. Due largely to the success of the Market, a grant was secured from the West Virginia Department of Agriculture to construct a permanent Market Building at the Fairgrounds in 1996.

Operation of the Market is managed by the Marshall County Farmers' Market Association. Membership in the Association is open to any individual with homegrown produce, handmade crafts or baked goods for sale.

The purpose statement of the Farmers' Market Association is "to provide income opportunities to the vendors by furnishing high quality products to the consumer and at the same time educating the consumer about the local farming community."

The majority of producers for the Market are from Marshall County, although a few do come from Ohio. Most of those taking fruits and vegetables to the Market sell out by the days end. A nice variety awaits customers each week.
