Harvest Valley Farms

6003 Cunningham Road
(724) 898-3276

On-Farm pickup is customized and is set up just like a farmers' Market. You have a choice. When you pick-up at a city drop-off location, you will get what is in season at that time.. You will usually get 8 differant items each week with a regular membership. For on-Farm pick-up,standard membership, there are two mandatory items every week, then you can pick 6 more from about 20-30 other different items on display. An "item" might be: 1/2 doz corn, 3 zucchini, 3 peppers, 1 pint of strawberries. Also, our season is fairly long for PA, therefore we do substitute for fruits and vegetables early in the season like free range eggs, homemade jams, honey from the bees on our farm...ect.

Harvest Valley Farms grows over 65 varieties of fruits and vegetables. Brothers Art and Larry King along with Art's son, David King manage the farm of 135 acres. Currently 133 CSA members pick up their shares at the farm on Tuesday's from 3 to 6 pm or Wed. from 4 to 7 for 23 weeks a year and another 165 members use a drop site in the city of Pittsburgh. It works like this for pickup at the farm: you have two mandatory items, then you can pick 6 additional items from the 20-30 that are on display. One "item" might be: 1 watermelon, or 4-cucumbers, or 1 lb. of green or yellow beans, ect. We have an annual "Farm Field Day" where members can come and get a "farmer guided" hayride tour at one of our three farm locations. As of winter 2011, we have 6 drop sites in pittsburgh.
