Cope Hollow Loop

The Cope Hollow Trail is a rugged trail in the Charles C. Deam Wilderness just south of Lake Monroe in Monroe County outside of Bloomington. The Cope Hollow Trail gets very little use and as a result, it gets a significant thumbs up by Indiana Hikes. The trail is not a loop, but connects with other trails to form a loop hike of about 9.7 to 10 miles. Cope Hollow Trail alone is approximately 6.3 miles in length. The best way to get to the trail is to park at the Blackwell Horse Camp trailhead where there is a sign with a map for hikers to review. Also, hikers can park at the Grubb Ridge trailhead parking lot and reach the trail that way on 0.2 mile stretch of the Grubb Ridge Loop.
