Armatage Park

The park and recreation center bustle with recreational activities for a variety of interests and all ages. Located next to Armatage School, it's surrounded by prairie and features baseball, soccer and football fields, seven softball diamonds, hockey and ice rinks, four tennis courts and a Tier 1 skateboard park. The park has a fabulous playground with swings of every type. Challenge the climbing wall and ride the slides.

Even if you aren't involved in sports, the park is a great place to watch the activity. Take a stroll with your family, have a picnic or a take leisurely break from your routine.

Armatage Park. named in honor of Maude D. Armatage, a park commissioner for 24 years, features ''Garden Party,'' an 18 ft. bronze sculpture by artist Scott Wallace. It was placed at the entrance of the park to create the Armatage Neighborhood Gateway.
