You could fish in places other than Lake St. Clair and the Detroit River… but why would you? They are renowned destinations for walleye, smallmouth bass, and monster muskies. Hit Lake Huron or Lake Superior for lake trout and salmon. The streams and rivers of the Upper Peninsula are chock full of trout angling opportunities, as documented by Hemingway.
