Hiking for exercise is one thing, but hiking for the beautiful views, well, that’s a whole other story! We’ve combined the best hiking trails with the most scenic views for your pleasure. Pack some snacks, water, and don’t forget the camera for those unforgettable moments. Here are five stunning scenic hikes in Wisconsin!

1. Grandad Bluff Park, La Crosse, WI

Grandad Bluff Park is hands down one of Wisconsin’s most beautiful hikes. Hike your way to the top of Wisconsin’s most scenic bluff. Overlook the city of La Crosse, the Mississippi River, and our neighboring states. A newly renovated shelter at the top makes this hike a perfect weekend destination. Be sure to check out other cool views through their coin-operated binoculars.

2. Devil’s Lake State Park

Devil’s Lake is a highly sought out hiking destination—and for good reason. There are a few different trails you can choose from ranging from beginner levels all the way up to a more challenging hike. You’ll see tons of rock formations, forest, and let’s not forget the unmatched views of Devil’s Lake. Call up a couple of friends, bring the pup, and make a day out of it!

3. Scuppernong Trail System

The Scuppernong Trail System is a great way to get outside for a beautiful hiking experience. There are three different trails ranging from intermediate to advanced, totaling around 12 miles in length. Explore all that Wisconsin has to offer, from thick forested areas to fun bustling creeks. The trails are always well maintained and offer bathrooms for your convenience.

4. Quincy Bluff

If you’re ever near the Adam’s County area, Quincy Bluff and Wetlands is the most picturesque place to take a hike. The bluffs offer beautiful rock formations unlike anything you’ve seen. Follow a trail surrounding their notorious wetlands. Don’t forget your camera because you’re going to need it at Quincy Bluff.

5. Gibraltar Rock

Near Devil’s Lake State Park, lies Gibraltar Rock State Natural Area. Hike along the cliffs. View miles of rolling hills and the beautiful farm land that Wisconsin is so known and loved for. You’ll love the challenge that hiking to the top offers. You’ll even be able to catch views of Lake Wisconsin. Strap on your boots and pack a snack because you’ll want to stay all day.
