RV camping gives us the best of both worlds. If you’re looking to disconnect without losing access to our modern conveniences, loading up the RV and taking the family to a campsite in Massachusetts is an excellent option. RV campsites create real sense of community, bring us close to nature, and help us to escape. Create lasting memories at these five awesome RV campsites in the Bay State. 

1. Pinewood Lodge Campground, Plymouth, MA

Nestled in a white pine forest and bordering a fresh water lake, Pinewood Lodge Campground features modern restroom facilities and shower houses. Hook up your RV to electricity and water at a reasonable rate per night, and then prepare to make yourself at home.  Planned activities will keep the whole family busy, and there’s even Wi-Fi for those who can’t go device-free. They offer boat rentals for use on the lake that is perfect for boating, swimming and fishing. Play a game of horseshoes for fun or see what’s happening in the game room. Campers of all ages will have fun camping here.

2. Village Green Family Campground, Sturbridge, MA

Featuring equal parts activities and nature at its best, Village Green Family Campground is an excellent place to pull in with your RV and pull out with some wonderful memories. Go hiking, swimming, and fishing. Play beach volleyball or basketball. Visit nearby Sturbridge Village for a taste of history. Take part in the camp activities that are fun for all ages (You’ll be provided with a schedule upon check-in). The restrooms are modern and there’s a laundry room on site, too. 

3. Prospect Mountain Campground, Granville, MA

Located on Prospect Mountain in the Berkshires, Prospect Mountain Campground is a gorgeous spot to park your RV.  Swim in two private ponds or in the camp’s heated in-ground swimming pool. Rent a paddle boat and check out your surroundings from the water. There is an 18-hole mini golf course, an RC car racetrack, outdoor laser tag, and more. A wealth of scheduled activities will satisfy even the most discerning adult and will excite every child. Modern restrooms, a laundry center, a country store and high-speed internet will make you feel like you’re really not so far from home. A Sunday breakfast buffet is perfect for meeting fellow campers. 

4. Bay View Campground, Bourne, MA

If you’re headed toward Cape Cod, drive your RV straight into Bay View Campground for a delightful stay. Your canine friends are welcome, too, and there’s an enclosed dog area for them to run and play. Near pristine beaches, the campground features its own fun as well. Swim in one of their three swimming pools. There are activities planned for all ages, as well as tennis courts, horseshoes, a basketball court and shuffleboard. The restrooms are modern and the laundry facility means you don’t have to arrive at home with bags and bags of dirty laundry. Firewood and ice are available on site.

5. Normandy Farms, Foxboro, MA

If luxury camping is what you’re seeking, drive your RV into Normandy Farms for camping unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. In addition to hiking, swimming in their four swimming pools or fishing in their pond, guests can book a massage at their Wellness Center or sign up for a Yoga session. There are playgrounds, three laundry facilities, a fitness center, a gift shop and more. This is a gorgeous facility perfect for those who like the concept of camping, but definitely don’t want to leave any of the finer things at home.
